There are several ways to systematize and automate the traceability of pallets and packages:
At Maturity Level 1:
- Pallet identification: Barcodes (or RFIDs) allow pallets to be identified in a clear and professional manner,
- Traceability : They ensure complete traceability of goods. This means that the location, origin, and quantity of items can be observed at a glance
- Inventory management: They make inventory management easier
Operator Communication: They are also used for communication with operators to identify discrepancies that need to be corrected
At Maturity Level 2:
- The automation at each stage of the identification and traceability controls of parcels and pallets makes it possible to increase the maturity of the traceability cycle
- Automation is enabled by smart Gates that are judiciously designed and placed to capture 100% of operational flows and identify discrepancies
- The Gate is linked to TMS, WMS and ERP in order to maintain traceability
- No operator action is required except to correct errors and discrepancies for which he has been alerted.
